Ancient House from 1844 Transformed Into A Modern Family Home

This big and ancient miller’s house from 1844 is located in Berlin, Germany, and it has recently been remodeled in order to accommodate a  family of five – mom, dad, and three kids. The 172-years-old house, that was once used by a German police and now it is a reconstructed family home. Since it is the oldest house in Prenzlauer Berg, the local authorities asked the contractors to maintain its former glory and authenticity. The designers did a great job and managed to create a vintage family home in the center of the most popular neighborhoods of Berlin. Designers were able to represent the history of the old building by using a new facade. This house was vacant for so many years, but know it breathes again and it is a perfect home for a happy family. The whole project and the entire house was photographed by Michael Pfisterer.
