Inspiration can be found literally everywhere. Of course, you have to be very imaginative, you have to save that inner child. You can’t fully grow up. That’s exactly what Poy did. He is a designer from Thailand who developed a passion for photography few years ago. Since then he tried various styles of photography, but miniature photography is where he truly found himself. “My inspiration came from one of The Japanese animation named “Arrietty” by Studio Ghibli. It was a story about miniature people that lived with humans all the time, but they haven’t even been noticed”, says Poy. He applied the same idea to his images. You can see little people helping normally sized humans in various situations. From awkward ones such as trimming their nose hairs, to more pleasant ones like fixing guitar strings or making popcorn. Roy manages to capture amazing details while telling funny and whimsical stories. Everyone of us, at least as a child, has wondered if there is smaller world, right there within our world. If there are some magical, tiny creatures who are just living their lives like we do everyday. It is nice to daydream like that from time to time. Poy captured his daydream through amazing and clever series of photos, and allowed us to feel like an innocent child for a little while longer.
