Traditional weddings are beautiful, of course, but there is something so tempting in a secret, getaway type of wedding. Jeremy and Rachelle at first wanted a “normal”, traditional kind of wedding but when they sat down to plan it, they realized that it is too much of a drag and, well, it is too expensive. They’ve reached a dead end, but then Rachelle suggested something beautiful. She said “Why don’t we get married in Iceland instead?”, Jeremy agreed immediately and that is how their adventure begun. The couple just went for it, all in, with just a van and few essentials. They traveled around Iceland, exploring breathtaking sites, taking hikes over glaciers and under waterfalls, riding horses through vast green valleys. Two lovebirds did’t even think about the ceremony of the actual wedding, they just knew that they will find a special place to get married, and so they did. One day, by accident, they discovered an old church, the only place that survived a volcanic eruption that happened a long time ago. They immediately knew that they finally found it. Just the two of them, and the breathtaking nature around them as their witness, they exchanged their vows and promises, and pledged to one another for eternity.
