Carol Rossetti is a 26-year-old illustrator and graphic designer from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She works as a freelance illustrator and runs a graphic design studio with her three friends. Nowadays, she is very popular with her “Women” series which focuses on the common prejudices that women face everyday about their looks and lifestyles. She explains “I feel very disturbed by the world’s attempts to control women’s bodies, behaviors and identities; so I’ve started a series of illustrations in a friendly tone hoping to reach people about how absurd this really is.” All of her illustrations express powerful messages which inspire women to take control of their lives and avoid people that criticise their preferences. The illustrations can be found in 16 languages thanks to volunteers. Take a look at some of her illustrations here and you can visit her website for more.
