Switzerland based, Austrian student Johanna Lehner (aka @jackdevilart) is one of the most inspiring artists on Instagram. She draws hyperrealistic portraits, animals and insects using only a pen or pencil. She is a self-taught artist and been drawing for roughly 5 years. She says “I’m not an art student nor would I want to be one. It’s my hobby and I like to be free in what I want to draw. But I love history of art and study that.” When asked about her inspiration for these flawless art pieces, she replies “I use references to draw. I couldn’t come up with those ideas out of the blue.” From graphite powder to old ink, she enjoys trying different paints and pens for drawing monochromatic images, but her favorite one is always a multiliner.
