CGAP (the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor) every year hosts a photography competition in order to show the world struggles of poor people all around the globe. This particular group focuses on the financial inclusion that can change lives of the poor and hardworking people on the edge of modern societies. We are blessed with the ability to just walk to the nearest bank and just get our earned salary with one quick move of the credit card. Those people are not that lucky. They don’t even have the formal banking system in their hometowns. That is why, every year, this competition has a goal to inform the rest of the world about these unfortunate people. This year’s contest was extremely successful with over a 3,300 amazing photographs from 77 different countries. On these brilliant images we can see everyday struggle of these poor people. Working through their lives without any certainty that the hard work will pay off. This contest needs to get even more recognition, and these photographs must become a wake up call to all the fortunate people around the world. We all need to give just a little bit of what we have, in order to help these poor people. Together, we can make a change. Bellow are some of the winning photographs, and the honorable mentions.
