Aimee Twigger is a food stylist and photographer and the winner of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year 2019. She loves composing food portraits and capturing them in her own style. She shares the creative time she spends in her kitchen using her camera and showcasing them on her Instagram page. It is a kind of visual story telling, both delicious and artistic shots. “In my early twenties I really struggled with food and weight, but finding my love for baking really helped me get over my issues.” she says on her blog. “When I started sharing recipes I was a complete novice, and really had no idea what I was doing, but over time and with practice I feel I’m quite good at it now. my life revolves around it.” She has an interesting story for beginning cooking; “My passion for cooking really came into its own when I was working as a carer for a lady with Parkinson’s. Unfortunately she sadly passed away, which meant I was out of a job so I decided to try and work in the food industry full time. Since then I have been lucky enough to travel around the world teaching workshops on food photography.” She currently works on another cookbook and organizes workshops for the ones who love cooking and baking like her. When asked about her future goals, Aimee replies; “I would love to write another book, I want to have more control on the design and learn that side of it too, I really want it to be a passion project that I take my time on. I would love to open a small bakery in the future, I have a bit of a pipe dream that I would love to move to a cottage in the country side and make cheese lol. I would love to create some videos for the blog but I have know idea where to start. Write an Ebook and improve my photography. I want to keep learning.” Scroll down and feast your eyes with Aimee’s fantastic food stories.
